The barn

EXTENSION AND RE-AREA OF A BARN

villeneuve sur yonne

The addition of a garage and a wall along the street has transformed this ‘lonely house’ into a complex that finds its reference in conglomerions of agricultural buildings in this region. The wall separating between street and courtyard frames first the gate and then becomes the façade of the garage. The garage doors and the two gable walls are trealized in lasheed wood siding. The extension of this country house has resulted in a guest room and a bathroom at theRdC. The interior decoration of the rooms. speaks the same language again: exposed wooden supporting structure, white walls, natural light wood doors and parquet flooring and the RdC in ‘tripli’ like the adjacent living room. The decoration and choice of furniture remain simple to be consistent with the transformation of this former barn into a country house.
