Installing a roundabout

A landscaped installation in the suburbs

Paris North (93)

A ‘natural environment’ for an industrial area.

Within an industrial zone is a circle-shaped crossroads, from which four triangular spindles are moving. It is surrounded by industrial buildings. As a counterpoint to the existing situation, a landscaped installation, fits into the site and makes it vibrate. The complex consists of 12 cedars and 200 boulders. The slate blocks are raised vertically on the four three-horizontal spindles; the granite blocks are scattered horizontally in the middle circle. The location of each monolith is in the site itself, because each block creates a different shadow that conditions the location of the other.
