INTERNATIONAL URBAN PLANNING COMPETITION – LANDSCAPE<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n[\/vc_column_text]

In order to maintain acontinuity with the existing Berlin green spaces the following themes and design principals were applied to each of the parks:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n– protection of existing historic axis and views<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n– a uniformity of organisation for each park to give generous open spaces<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n– creation of wide promenades<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n– dense and homogenous planting to park and street edges to reinforce their urban quality<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n

At ground level the park isdivided in to two zones; one, planted space, assuring the flow of green through the city\u2019s tissue; the other hardlandscaped in a wide promenade with play and rest areas.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nKemperpark:<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\nA triangular park, an island refuge amidst the city.
